THIS IS THE ITINERARY OF THE 12-Day Tour From Marrakech

Day 1: Arriving in Marrakech

When you arrive in Marrakech, we will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel or riad. Depending on your arrival time, you may have time to walk around and explore the city, or you can relax and get ready for the days ahead.

Day 2: A Full Day in Marrakech

Today, we will explore Marrakech together. We will visit important places like the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, and the beautiful Bahia Palace. You’ll also get to visit the famous souks (markets) where you can find all kinds of local goods, from spices to handmade crafts. In the afternoon, you’ll have some free time to relax or explore more on your own.

Day 3: Marrakech - high atlas mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - valley rose - dades valley

Today, we will leave Marrakech and start our journey through the High Atlas Mountains. The road will take us through small villages where you can see how local people live. Our first big stop will be at Ait Ben Haddou, an ancient village that is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. This village is famous for its old buildings made of mud and has been used as a filming location for many movies.

After visiting Ait Ben Haddou, we’ll continue to the city of Ouarzazate, which is known for its movie studios. You may have heard of it being called the “Hollywood of Morocco”! We’ll then pass through the Rose Valley, which is famous for growing roses, and finally reach Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night.

We will start the day by exploring Dades Valley, which is known for its strange rock formations that look like monkey toes. After that, we will visit the amazing Todra Gorge, a deep canyon with high rock walls on both sides. You can take a walk through the gorge and feel how tiny you are compared to the huge cliffs!

After visiting the gorge, we will drive through desert landscapes and reach the town of Merzouga, which is next to the Sahara Desert. Here, you’ll get to ride a camel into the desert dunes of Erg Chebbi, and you’ll spend the night in a traditional desert camp. You can look up at the stars in the clear desert sky it’s a magical experience!

Day 5: Exploring the Sahara Desert of erg chebbi - nomads - gnawa music - lake - palms grove

You’ll start your day by watching a beautiful sunrise over the sand dunes. After breakfast, we will visit a nomad family who lives in the desert, where you can learn about their traditional way of life. Then, we’ll head to the Mifis mines, which were once important for the area’s economy.

Next, we’ll visit the village of Khamlia, known for its unique Gnawa music. You’ll enjoy a traditional lunch here while listening to the music. Afterward, we’ll stop by the Merzouga Lake, which is a hidden gem in the desert, and then visit the palm groves of Hassi Labied, where you’ll see lush palm trees growing in the middle of the desert. 

Finally, you’ll return to your hotel in the afternoon to relax.

After breakfast, we will leave the Sahara Desert and travel north towards Fez. On the way, we’ll pass through the Ziz Valley, a beautiful area with palm trees and oases. We will stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, which is in the Atlas Mountains.

Later, we will visit the cedar forests near Azrou, where you might see Barbary apes, a type of monkey that lives in the forest. After that, we’ll stop in the town of Ifrane, which is called “Little Switzerland” because of its European-style buildings. By the evening, we’ll arrive in Fez, where you’ll stay in a traditional riad.

Today, we’ll explore Fez, one of Morocco’s oldest cities. We’ll walk through the old medina, visit the famous Al Quaraouiyine University, and see the colorful Chouara Tanneries where leather is made. You’ll also visit the Jewish Quarter and learn about its history. 

At the end of the tour, we’ll take you to a viewpoint to see the city from above. In the afternoon, you can relax or explore on your own.

Day 8: fes - volubilis - chefchaoun

We will leave Fez and drive to Chefchaouen. On the way, we’ll stop at the Volubilis ruins, where you can see the old Roman buildings and beautiful mosaics. After visiting Volubilis, we’ll pass through the Rif Mountains and stop for lunch.

When we arrive in Chefchaouen, we will walk to the Spanish Mosque, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the blue city and watch the sunset. After that, we’ll go back to your hotel for the night.

Day 9: Chefchaouen - tetouan - tangier

In the morning, we will explore Chefchaouen and visit Ras El Ma, a small waterfall just outside the town. Here, you will have the chance to try on traditional Rif clothing for a fun cultural experience.

Afterward, we will leave Chefchaouen and drive toward Tangier, stopping in Tetouan for lunch. When we arrive in Tangier, we will visit some interesting places in the city before heading to your hotel for the night.

Day 10: Tanger - assilah - rabat - casablanca

We will leave Tangier and head to Casablanca, stopping first in the seaside town of Asilah. You’ll have time to walk around and enjoy the white-washed buildings and calm atmosphere.

Next, we’ll visit Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where you can see important landmarks like the Hassan Tower and the Oudaya Kasbah. After exploring Rabat, we’ll continue our journey to Casablanca. Once we arrive, we’ll drop you off at your hotel for the night.

Day 11: casablanca - el jadida - essaouira

We will leave Casablanca and drive toward Essaouira, a lovely coastal town. On the way, we will stop in El Jadida, a historic town with Portuguese influence, where you can explore for a short time.

After arriving in Essaouira, you’ll have time to walk around the old medina, visit the harbor, and enjoy the beach. Essaouira is known for its relaxed atmosphere and fresh seafood. You’ll spend the night at a hotel in Essaouira.

Day 12: essaouira - marrakesh

On your last day, we will leave Essaouira and drive back to Marrakech. Along the way, we’ll stop to see the famous Argan trees, where you might even spot goats climbing the trees!

Once we arrive in Marrakech, we will take you to the airport or your hotel, depending on your plans. This will be the end of your amazing 12-day adventure in Morocco.

1. Passport and Visa:
Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months. Check if you need a visa to enter Morocco.
