THIS IS THE ITINERARY OF THE 4 days marrakech desert tour to merzouga:

Day1: Marrakech-ait ben haddou-Ouarzazate-Dades valley

Our 4 days marrakech desert tour to merzouga, we’ll pick you up in the morning at 7:30 am. we’ll begin from your hotel or riad or airport, bus,or  train in Marrakech.

We’ll across through high atlas mountains pass linking the south-east of Marrakech to the city of Ouarzazate via the high atlas mountains, you can take a nice picture under the monument starting the height to the pass and enjoy the lovely scenery, from November by way of March

Snow can often fall on the pass, but it can be warm all year round in the strong sun, it reaches elevations (2.260 meters) above sea level. And it is the highest major mountain pass in north Africa, to attain ait ben haddou Kasbah, the fortified ksar with its amazing kasbahs, the atlas Berber day: Marrakech-ait ben haddou-ouarzazate-dades valley village.

We will reach Kasbah ait ben haddou, a famous village designated a world heritage site by UNESCO and the setting for many Hollywood movies ( gladiator,game of thrones, Obelix, the mummy, the jewel of the Nile, Sahara with penélope Cruz….etc), we’ll stop for lunch in ait ben haddou

After lunch we will head to ouarzazate has stood at the edge of the sahara desert for hundreds of years, a city of palm trees, sandy streets and blocky, fort-like buildings, this is the morocco seen in a hundred movies, the name Ouarzazate comes from the Amazigh for” quiet place” and compared to many of its fellow morocco towns and cities…

There is a certain calm to be found here, inside its walls you will find new hotels and complexes, plus film studios that have made the most of their photogenic location, outside the city is the reason most people come to ouarzazate: the stunning Sahara. 

We’ll take a trek out to the nearby villages and kasbahs, we will then drive to “skoura” you will visit an oasis lined with immense palm groves, and you will visit the “amerhidil” is part of “skoura” palm groves alongside more, and visit roses valley known for its apricots, but especially for its roses

this valley is rich of its traditions and its Berber culture, its splendid landscapes and its inhabitants, at the end the day, follow dades river on the tiny road passing by different fortified  Kasbahs located on the side of the road to dades canyons, you will reach to your hotel in the afternoon, dinner and breakfast at your “dades” hotel.

Day2: Dades gorge – todra gorge – Erfoud – rissani- Merzouga

On the second day of 4 days marrakech desert trip to merzouga, after breakfast at your hotel at Dades valley, we will then take a drive through the line with ancient (1001 kasbahs) and many Berber villages at the dades

The Dades gorge is a series of rugged wadi gorge carved out by the Dades river in morocco .the river originates in the high atlas range of the Atlas mountains, following some (350 kilometers) southwest before joining the “draa rive”r at the edge of the Sahara

where we’ll deviate to a minor road driving along the todra river where you will cease for a walk in the oasis under the shade of palm trees and continue to todra gorges, we’ll then go forward to the Erg Chebbi. We’ll stop in “tinjdad”   

You will enjoy your lunch in “tinjdad”  after lunch we’ll continue early in the afternoon to “rissani” famous for its dates market and being a starting point of the ancient trading caravans crossing the Sahara desert, then we continue to Erg Chebbi driving through some rocky desert views,

As soon as you arrive at the popular dunes of erg Chebbi, the overnight staying in the desert camp, erg Chebbi is an amazing place in the heart of the desert, where we will get to our camel ride and traverse the dunes of erg Chebbi, as you watch the sunset in style heading to the oasis where a camp is located, while watching a sunset, to get to the camp in the oasis. 

Spending the night in the bivouac at Merzouga Sahara desert under nomadic tents or outside under stunning stars .you can spend your night playing drums with an experience camel guide if you like .local nomad hosts will be entertaining you with their drums.

Day3: merzouga – alnif – tazarine – agdz – ouarzazate

On the third day of 4 days marrakech desert tour to merzouga, an early wake up to enjoy the sunrise over the highest dunes of erg Chebbi in Merzouga one of the best moments of the desert.

We will pick you up in the morning and take you to a close place where you can watch the lovely sunrise with stunning views in high dunes. afterward breakfast and shower, we will take a camel ride to the main road

You will meet your driver to Marrakech by way of  “alnif” is located in the heart of environment rich in meteorites and fossils .amateur or confirmed geologists will be delighted to discover, among other things, trilobites, the marine animals that inhabited the primary oceans (from 500 to 250 million years ago) or to discover rock carvings in its rocky arid plains

You will pass from  “tazarine” is small city rural commune in “Zagora” province morocco. you will pass across  “draa valley” is morocco’s longest river, at (1,100 kilometers) .it is formed by the confluence of the Dades River and mini river .it flows from the high atlas mountains, initially south-eastward to “tagounite” mostly westwards to its mouth in the Atlantic Ocean somewhat north of “tan-tan” 

“agdz” is a town in mid-southeastern morocco, in the atlas mountains with a population of about (10,000), “agdz” lies at the feet of “djebel Kissane” and along the shores of the Draa River. 

we will have some free time for lunch in agdz and the afternoon we’ll proceed our journey to Ouarzazate arrival in the late afternoon or evening. dinner and breakfast in your hotel .you will spend overnight at the Ouarzazate hotel.

Day4: Ouarzazate – ait ben haddou – Marrakech

On the last day of our 4 days marrakech desert tour to merzouga, after breakfast in your hotel

We will drive to visit the ksar (fortified village ) of ait ben haddou is a historic “ighrem” or “ksar” along with the former caravan of the Sahara and Marrakech in present-day morocco

it is considered a great example of morocco’s earthen clay architecture and has been a  UNESCO  world site since (1987  numerous) of the film have been shot in this spectacular place including gladiator and game of thrones and Ali baba, forty thieves, Indian jones, prince of Persia, the mummy… etc.

We will travel through Tizi n’tichka we’ll make stops on the way to enjoy the lovely scenery of these high atlas mountains and you will enjoy amazing views of kasbahs the atlas Berber village.

We’ll stop for lunch in a restaurant in the middle of the atlas, then we’ll continue to Marrakech .early in the evening we arrive in Marrakech where the 4 days marrakech desert trip to merzouga end.
